Philadelphia Forum Theater Closes it’s Doors

Philadelphia Real EstatePhiladelphia Forum Finally Shuts Down

Philadelphia Forum Theater Closes it’s Doors. This is one of the last old-time peep show theaters left in Center City Philadelphia. It was truly an eyesore, especially for the residence of the Murano, which sits right across the street from the Forum Theater. The owner Anthony Trombetta, nor his attorney returned phone calls Thursday, but the reason for closing appears to be a result of a dispute between Trombetta and his Landlord, Richard Basciano according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Three months ago, the owner of  2208 Market Street, STB Investment Corp., filed suit in Municipal Court alleging the Forum had failed to pay about $29,000 in rent. STB Investments moved to evict the Forum Theater from the property where it has been operating since 1975. The theater revenue has diminished since the pornographic content has been so easy to access by internet. Philadelphia’s few remaining porn theaters cater to a gay audience. This will be the first time in over 37 years that The Philadelphia Forum Theater Closes it’s Doors.
