Packer Park is a neighborhood in the Southernmost section of South Philadelphia. The entire neighborhood is about 1,200 homes that were built in three separate times within the last 60 years. The 3 different developments are 1- The original Packer Park homes in the 1950’s. 2- Brinton Estates in the 1990’s & 3- The Reserve in Packer Park in the 2000’s. Packer Park is home to one of the most organized community groups in the Philadelphia area. Packer Park is also home to the Phillies, Eagles, Flyers and Sixers. Did you know that Philadelphia is the only City in the North America that has all 4 major sports stadiums all within a 1 mile radius?
The Packer Park urban townhouses differentiate themselves from typical South Philadelphia row homes by not complying with the grid of Philly blocks and more important, ALL Packer Park Houses have Private Parking. The Packer Park community continues to be an Italian American neighborhood like much of South Philadelphia.
To the immediate east of Packer Park is the South Philadelphia sports complex consisting of Citizens Bank Park, Lincoln Financial Field and Wachovia Center.
